The Parents in BC website was started in 2005 by Teri Melien. This site was created to help local parents connect with one another and find out what’s available to them in their area.

After the birth of my third child and with there being a twelve year age difference between him and my second daughter I felt very out of touch with other parents with young children and I really didn’t know what was available in my area for parents with young children to do. I looked on line for parenting sites but couldn’t find anything to connect with local parents. I decided to start a website as an online resource for parents to meet other parents in their area and to see what is available when you have children.

I wanted to create a place where parents could come and ask questions and get advice from other parents. After all some of the best parenting advice we can get comes from other parents who have “been there, done that”. We have Classifieds, Forums, Photo galleries, Articles and Resources for all your parenting needs.
